Job Description

Part-Time Director of Student Ministries

While this person will overseeing the entire youth ministry of Bethany, this person will primarily focus on leading the spiritual formation of 6th-12th graders under the supervision of the Pastor of the church.  This person will be responsible for planning and implementing weekly youth meetings, monthly activities and service projects for them, and reporting on such to the church.  

Qualifications: This person must …

  • Be a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ who can share a credible testimony of personal faith in Jesus as well as a devotional life. 
  • Be committed to the authority of Scripture and be able to teach Biblical truths in real-life ways that brings about maturity in the Christian walk of the youth. 
  • Have a Christ honoring lifestyle that is marked by servanthood, generosity, joy, and a love for the Word and prayer.
  • Set the example and serve as a role model in personal life.
  • Have an engaging personality that connects well with youth.
  • Be visionary, creative, and fun to make all weekly and monthly events attractive to youth.
  • Be a team player who can recruit, plan, organize, and lead.

Vision: We envision a youth group that is fun, energetic, and growing both spiritually and numerically.  Currently, there are 18 active youth group participants in a growing church setting.
